Is there sun protection on the boat?
Yes, there is fixed cover providing some shade over the flybridge and cockpit areas.

What seating areas are available?

Where can you go during the charter?
We can take you all over Port Phillip Bay and Hobson’s Bay; around the beaches; to Docklands, and New Quay. No vessel of this size is able to pass under the Charles Grimes Bridge, so cruising the Yarra River, to a certain point, is not possible. Otherwise, we can take you virtually anywhere, weather permitting. As far as Portsea or Geelong. The options are limitless …. Your choice!

Can you extend your charter time during the voyage?
Yes. You can simply ask the skipper to contact the base and if there is no other booking for the boat, it can be arranged. Further charges for the extended time will apply.

Can you view the boat before booking your charter?
Of course you can, and we recommend you do so. Phone us to arrange an inspection.

How do you secure your booking?
A 50% deposit (minimum) is required before the booking can be confirmed, and the balance must be paid 14 days before the date of the charter. Upon payment of that deposit, a Charter Contract will be sent to you by fax or email, confirming all the relevant details, which then has to be signed and returned with the final payment. We accept Bankcard, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Diners Card, EFTPOS, Electronic Funds Transfer, or cash. No cheques, except by prior arrangement.

Cancellation? If you cancel the charter, can you get a refund?
Refunds are available with 28 days prior notice to the charter date. A $200 administration fee will be deducted from your deposit refund. If the cancellation is made less than 28 days prior to departure, written notice is required and the deposit will be forfeited. If cancellation is within 7 days of the charter, the full fee paid for the charter is forfeited. However, if you cancel after full payment, but more than 7 days from the departure date, 50% of the full payment will be refunded. No other refunds will be given, without exception.

Wet Weather? What happens in the event of rain?
The ‘Pelicans’ Cruiser has a marvelously appointed lounge area, with tables and ample seating. In the event of wet weather you will still be able to enjoy your cruise or reschedule to another day.

Making Preparations for the Cruise.

What should you bring with you?
We suggest you prepare for all conditions. Bring with you a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, swimming gear (if you wish) and a seasonally appropriate jumper.

Passengers should be at the pick-up point at least 15mins prior to the charter time, to load passengers and their gear, and be given the safety briefing by the skipper.

Note: Charter will start and finish at the times shown on your contract. If one of your party is late arriving at the pick-up point and departure is delayed, you will lose some of your charter time on the water.

Can one of your guests be picked up late or dropped off early?
No, this can not be permitted. Guests wishing to join the charter late or leave early must arrange alternative transportation at their own cost.
